What is each component for?

It is a polyunsaturated essential fatty acid of the omega-3 series.

It is essential for the proper functioning of the adult brain, as well as for the development of the nervous system.

It intervenes in the cognitive, attention, motor and visual functions during the first 6 months of life.

The mother’s intake of an extra 200 mg of DHA contributes to the normal development of the fetus’ brain and eye.

It is a water-soluble vitamin necessary for the formation of structural proteins and hemoglobin.

Its great importance lies in the fact that folic acid is essential at the cellular level to synthesize DNA, and the RNA necessary to form proteins, tissues and other cellular processes.

Adequate intake of this before and during pregnancy contributes to the growth of maternal tissues during pregnancy and the normal metabolism of homocysteine (reduction in homocysteine levels, the increase of which is related to congenital malformations and abortions).

It contributes to the normal function of the immune system and improves the absorption of iron (prevention of iron deficiency anemia).

It is an essential mineral for the synthesis of thyroid hormones, key to the mental development and growth of the newborn fetus.

It is involved in enzymes formation. It is necessary for the immune system and has an important role in cell division and growth.

Helps maintain the electrical potential of nerve and muscle cells.

Activates enzymes and vitamins of group B. It is involved in protein synthesis

Vitamin D deficiency is very common in women of reproductive age.

It contributes to the normal functioning of the immune system and the process of cell division.

Group B vitamins are essential during pregnancy, and influence the development of the nervous system and the formation of red blood cells in the fetus.

During pregnancy, more amounts of these vitamins are required due to the increase in energy and protein needs, especially in the third trimester.

B1 or Thiamine
It is a water-soluble vitamin, acts as a coenzyme and has an essential role in the nervous system and the metabolism of macro-nutrients. Its intake has been linked to the control of cramps during pregnancy.

B2 or Riboflavin
It is a water-soluble vitamin that participates in several vital metabolic processes of the body, for normal cell function, growth and energy production. It promotes good vision and the development of the baby’s bones, muscles and nerves.

B3 or Nicotinamide
It stimulates the appetite and intervenes in the absorption of food in the digestive tract. It also helps counteract hyperlipemia, as well as hypoglycemia. There is an Australian study that shows that an intake of vitamin B3 during pregnancy could help prevent birth defects due to deficiency of NAD (Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide), and thus prevent possible miscarriages and malformations.

B6 or Pyridoxine
It is important for the metabolism of amino acids and carbohydrates. It has a fundamental role in the development of the central nervous system and in the formation of compounds related to hemoglobin.

Its intake during pregnancy and lactation contributes to the development of the baby’s brain.

It has also been observed to reduce nausea and vomiting during pregnancy.

B8 or Biotin
It is administered during pregnancy to prevent the possible appearance of biotin deficiency. Some of the main manifestations of this deficit are: hair loss, red rashes, depression …

B9 or folic acid
It is a water-soluble vitamin necessary for the formation of structural proteins and hemoglobin.

Its great importance lies in the fact that folic acid is essential at the cellular level to synthesize DNA, and the RNA necessary to form proteins, tissues and other cellular processes.

Adequate intake of this before and during pregnancy contributes to the growth of maternal tissues during pregnancy and the normal metabolism of homocysteine (reduction in homocysteine levels, the increase of which is related to congenital malformations and abortions).

B12 or Cyanocobalamin
Essential for the maintenance of nerve cells and red blood cells. 25% of pregnant women are deficient in vitamin B12, this deficiency, together with folic acid, increases the risk of neuronal tube defects. In addition, the deficiency of vitamin B12 can also increase homocysteine concentrations.

It contributes to the normal function of the immune system and improves the absorption of iron (prevention of iron deficiency anemia).

It is an antioxidant, which contributes to the protection of cells against oxidative damage.

It is also involved in multiple metabolic processes, as well as the development of teeth and bones.

It contributes to the normal functioning of the nervous system, to boost the neurological development of the fetus and protects cells from oxidative damage.

In this sense, it acts synergistically with vitamin C to avoid oxidative stress.

They are naturally present in the vaginal microflora.

The administration of both strains has shown an improvement in the microbiota, a fundamental aspect to prevent some pathologies such as vulvovaginitis, vaginosis, premature births or urinary tract infections.

Administered during pregnancy, Lactobacillus act by modulating the immune response, reducing the risk of certain allergic responses.

They also regulate the adherence of proteins and reduce the possibility of implantation and the negative effect caused by other opportunistic bacteria.

There are several meta-analyzes that conclude that probiotic supplementation early in pregnancy reduces the risk of suffering from Gestational Diabetes Mellitus, since they have beneficial effects on glucose metabolism in pregnant women.

Why take FertyBiotic Pregnancy?

FertyBiotic Pregnancy® incorporates in its composition ingredients of the highest quality and in the appropriate doses to provide the additional requirements of ideal nutrients for preconception, pregnancy and lactation.

In addition, it incorporates probiotics that provide extra benefits to both mother and child.

Recent studies and publications have shown that supplementation with probiotics and DHA (both present in FertyBiotic Pregnancy®) during pregnancy and lactation reduces the risk of the child developing allergies (eczema, food allergies, etc.)

In addition, it has also been shown that probiotic supplementation contributes to the maintenance of lactation and non-abandonment.

Probiotics reduce the bacterial concentration of Staphylococcus in the mammary flora and help to restore its balance, allowing a more comfortable and healthy breastfeeding, and reducing the rate of recurrence in mastitis (the main medical cause of early and unwanted abandonment of breastfeeding).

How to take it?

Take one capsule a day, preferably before a meal, with a glass of water (200 ml).
